Have you ever asked yourself, “When should you walk away from a blended family”?
This is a special question that I’ll be answering for my step parents, and people dealing with blended families.
65% of the people in the world have a blended family, so chances are that you might have one yourself or even know someone that has one that you care
When should you walk away from a blended family?
You should walk away from a blended family if the stepchild causes the damage to either your relationship or the rest of the family. Also, if the stepchild lies on you as the parent, that’s another sign. If your partner rarely spends time with your child then that’s another sign to walk away from the family. And if your partner makes big decisions pertaining to the family without asking you then that’s another sign.
Step-Child causes the damage
Step-Child lies about you
Partner rarely hangs with your child
Partner makes big decisions Without You
Final Thoughts
These points should sum everything up best. You should know when to walk away from a blended family if the stepchild causes all of the damage in your family. Another is if the stepchild lies about you to the other parent. Also, if your partner rarely spends time with your child and it’s blatantly clear. And the last reason that you should have the judgement to walk away from the relationship is if the partner is making big decisions for the entire family without consulting you first.
