Today I’ll be answering which NFL stadium have domes.
The thing that makes these domes so attractive is the fact that the team hosting has the luxury of being able to play in controlled weather.
You might care to know more about this because the teams with domes put them in the running to possibly host the NFL’s biggest games.
I’ll be honest, before I came across this question, the only dome that I knew of was Mercedes-Benz.
Without further ado, let’s get into the question.
Which NFL stadiums have domes?
- Allegiant Stadium
- Caesars Superdome
- Ford Field
- SoFi Stadium
- U.S. Bank Stadium
- AT&T Stadium
- Lucas Oil Stadium
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium
- NRG Stadium
- State Farm Stadium – (between all of them, there’s some that have fixed roofs, and some that are retractable.)
Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium is a team that is owned by the Las Vegas Raiders.
You can find this Stadium right in the heart of Paradise, Nevada.
On top of the Raiders that play there, they also share it with the Las Vegas Rebels football team as well.
The cost that was gathered just to build this dome cost roughly over 1.9 billion.
The dome can hold anywhere from 65,000 people, all the way to 71,835.
And for soccer events, they can hold 61,000.
Because the Raiders came from Oakland, they first played in the Alamodome, where it held 65,000.
Caesar’s Stadium
Caesar’s Stadium is owned by the New Orleans Saints.
You can find it in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The cost to make the dome cost over $134 million at first, but skyrocketed all the way up to $675 million in 2021.
They continued to make improvements to the dome that go back as far as the 05-06 season, costing 193 million.
The price shot up to $259 million in 2021.
The dome holds as much as 73,208 (and expands to as much as 76,468).
