Today I’ll be answering why there are corner flags in football.

You may have thought I was talking about football with helmets and pads that we watch on the NFL or XFL, but this is different.

Yeah, we’re talking about soccer (which is also known as football).

And what we’re focusing on this time is the corner flag that’s used in the sport.

If you’ve played fifa before, or been following the World Cup, then you’ll have an idea of what we’re talking about.

But let’s get into the question.

Why are there corner flags in football?

The corner flags in football is used to mark the out of bounds area. That, and it’s used to act as a visual piece for the referees and the players. It separates the sideline from the goal line, and there are 4 of them in total.
