I’ll be answering if Gon’s Nen was ever restored.

As far as it written, Gon’s Nen is still gone. This is the point at where the anime and manga ended. His Nen contract that he made was the main reason he lost his capability, thanks to his fight with Neferpitou. That, and the wish Killua made with Nanika to save his life came with that restriction.
