Santa Claus gives gifts to all of the children around the world because it pushes the idea of thankless giving. It teaches lessons to both adults and children. For adults, it’s that there’s more to the holiday than just giving gifts. And for children, they learn the right way to express feelings during Christmas. Unsurprisingly, Santa is inspired through Jesus.

One movie franchise that captures the idea of this lesson is in the horror franchise (surprisingly) Krampus.
It deals with a kid mainly, but he’s way ahead of his peers emotionally and teaches the viewers this lesson (the one for adults).
